Saturday, July 26th, 2008

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) recently announced that over 1,500 lucky players are now part of the Millionaire’s Club since it began operating the Philippine lottery sometime in 1995.

Of the total number of winners, 17 have won more the 100 Million pesos.

What would you do with 200M?

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

What would you do with 200M? In my previous post, I asked this question because of couple won $275M, now there’s a probability that this question needs to be answered again as the jackpot in the Philippine 6/49 Lottery is projected to reach 207M although this is in Philippine peso (1$=41PHP) this translates to roughly $5M.

What would you do with $275M?

This is now the question faced by a couple who recently won the Georgia lottery. An iron worker from Georgia and his wife have turned in their winning Mega Millions lottery ticket and claimed the $275 million jackpot last Monday(2/25/08) afternoon. This is the largest prize won by a single player in the history of Georgia lottery.

Robert Harris, 47, says he picked the winning numbers from Friday’s multistate drawing by using his grandchildren’s birthdays. The winning numbers were 7, 12, 13, 19, and 22, plus the Mega Ball number 10. Another proof that picking numbers from birthdays are source of winning combinations contrary to lotto experts opinion.

Lottery Top Tips

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

I asked several lotto players what their strategy for picking the lottery numbers and I’ve compiled their answers and made a top 5 list.  Since they have never won any major prize, I negated their strategies :)

1. Don’t bet on birthdays, anniversaries, address, sss no, tin, etc.

2. Don’t bet by placing vertical, horizontal, diagonal or smiley liness on the lottery board.
3. Don’t get your numbers from the local newspaper lottery tips.

4. Don’t bet based on arithmetic sequence, e.g. fibonacci series.

5. Don’t pick numbers that have already won.

My Tip?

I still believe that every number combination has the same chance as the others of landing the jackpot so you have to place that bet in order to have a chance to get the jackpot :)

Unclaimed Millions of $$

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Many people buy the lottery on a whim, when the prize looks inviting or they happen to pass by a lottery outlet while shopping and they are feeling lucky that day. The problem is after placing the bet they don’t check back to see if they won anything. I’m guilty of this once or twice, I remember seeing a lottery ticket in one of my drawers with its numbers completely faded (lottery tickets here in the Philippines are printed using thermal paper and I not sure if the ticket will survive the 1 year period for claiming prizes won).

110M Philippine Lotto jackpot?

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

UPDATE: Jackpot reached 112M and no one got it, expect it to reach 130M on Sunday’s draw. Winning numbers were 2-8-12-31-41-49.

For tonights draw, the jackpot is projected to reach at least PHP110M (approximately US$2.7M). This is the first time it reached the hundred million mark for the year 2008. Expect the lines to be longer than usual as other non regular bettors will definitely troop to the betting station in order to get a crack on the jackpot.

Me and my colleagues pooled our money and will bet using Beat the Lotto system. Each person were asked to share 20 pesos and 1 number.

Useful Tips in Using the Pendulum

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

1. The pendulum will respond only to questions that can be answered by either yes or no. So the phrasing of your question is very important. Do not ask it questions like, “Why didn’t girlfriend call me yesterday?”

2. As a fortune-telling device, it has very limited use or reliability. The pendulum is most reliable when answering questions of fact. For instance, “Is there water under this spot?” or “Do I have a kidney failure infection or heart disease?”

How to use the Pendulum

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

I’ll be using the pendulum to pick my next set of Beat the Lotto numbers. Below is an instruction on how to use a pendulum.

1. Almost any object can be made into a pendulum, such as finger ring, wood, the nut of the bolt, a plumber’s washer, pencil, rock crystal, metal, or a small empty bullet. For a string, you can use any ordinary sewing thread or nylon fishing line six to eight inches in length.

2. Next step is to know the direction of the pendulum for a “yes” or a “no” answer. One way is to ask the pendulum which movement is for a “yes” and which movement is for “no”. Another method is to direct the pendulum to the movement you want by mental programming. This is the method used by Nielsen and Polansky, which is described below.

3. Draw a vertical arrow, a horizontal arrow, a clockwise circle and a counterclockwise circle on a piece of blank paper. How your pendulum with your index finger and thumb over each drawing.

PCSO’s 6/49 lotto gets bigger!

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Starting today PCSO’s superlotto offers a bigger prize, from the starting jackpot of 8M to 16M! But they also made the price per play cost twice as much, from 10 to 20, a 100% increase. Too bad the other consolation prizes didn’t get the same increase. Winning 4 out of 6 will win 1,000 from the previous 800 while getting 3 of 6 will get you 100 from the usual 60.

Note: All prizes are in PHP.

Pinoy lottery players are the luckiest in the world?

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

Philippine lotto players are the luckiest in the world? I just had this feeling when I noticed that the past 4 draws for the 6/42 lottery got 6 jackpot winners. I did some research and this is what I found.

For the year 2007… (more…)
